wiring drawings below:
Assemble and
install eight owner-supplied ceiling fans and other new items as noted below
each drawing. The ceiling connections and wall switches for the ceiling fans
are already in place, except for one in the SW corner of the first floor
that needs to be moved by 18 inches as shown below.

Assemble and install four owner-supplied ceiling fans with existing on-off wall switches and make sure their remote controls work for their functions; the three fans shown in blue go to locations already prepared for them, the one in red needs to be relocated from its present ceiling outlet which is 44.5" from the south wall and 89" from the west wall to a new location 57" from the south wall and 76" from the west wall. Add the wall outlets shown in the elevation drawing of the eastern south wall at Comptonkitchen013_eastern_south_wall.htm just to the east of the eastern French door: there is an existing phone line buried in that wall, add a phone outlet for it, as well as ethernet, cable TV and/or Verizon FIOS connection, a switch for the ceiling fan near it, a switch for the light above the sink to its east, and two double electrical outlets. Check whether wiring for a garbage disposal under the future sink opposite the wall ovens is installed. Quote separately, for later execution: After the kitchen cabinets are installed, connect a GE cooktop to existing wiring, make sure the wall-ovens are connected and working, connect two garbage disposal units under two sinks to be installed along kitchen south wall. Quote separately also the installation of a lightning arrestor system for both the main house and the garage. This shall consist of four upright aluminum rods fastened near the east and west ends of the main and garage roof ridges to the existing stainless steel straps installed there for future solar panels. The rods on each roof shall be connected with a sufficiently heavy aluminum cable to each other and to one grounding rod for each pair. One of these grounding rods will be at the west end of the main house, in the southern corner of that west wall with the southern chimney chase, and at the east end of the garage near its south-eastern gutter downspout. |

Check existing electrical system, install ivory
wall outlet plates and switch plates where needed. Assemble and install the ceiling fan
where shown. Remove the western sconce outlet on the north wall of the
bathroom to allow the future installation of a shower stall there. Cap off
the currently unused wiring for sconces and ceiling lamps still to be
chosen. Install on that bathroom
north wall, east of the shower enclosure, a dedicated 220 Volt 20 Amp outlet
to operate a steam generator in the shower enclosure. Install on the south
wall of the laundry room a 110 Volt 15 Amp outlet for a future refrigerator
there. The wiring for these |

Assemble and install the 3 ceiling fans where shown. Bring ethernet and electrical outlet to SW corner of master closet west wall, avoiding to string wires across the opening of the future door in the east wall of that closet converted into office. Consolidate the light switches in the north wall of the master bathroom, just east of the door; some of these switches are presently a foot or so east of the other switches, but they should all be located together. If this is difficult, then propose as an alternative to install motion activated switches to replace the wall switches farthest from the doors. Make sure the planned 110-Volt outlet in the back of the hallway bathroom closet exists for recharging razors and similar appliances.

Basement wiring: |

To view this drawing as an 11" x 17" PDF file, click here Check existing electrical system, install all ivory wall outlet plates and switch plates as needed. Bring ethernet, cable TV, and 110-Volt outlets also to the SE corner of the finished basement room; these are presently installed only in the SW corner of that room. Install a 100-Amp substation outside near the SW corner of the basement for the future installation of up to three 30-Amp air conditioning condensers outside the wall along the old fence, and also for wiring of a future bedroom addition in that area. Place the wiring for this substation into metal conduit along the basement ceiling to shield people on the first floor from the electromagnetic radiation caused by that circuit when the condensers are running. |
